Most deal sites re-broadcast whatever discount a merchant claims. We don't. Here's how LyncDeals decides that a price is genuinely good.
We track the real price over time
For every product we follow, we record the price as it actually moves — building a history, not a snapshot. That history is the floor: the lowest we've genuinely observed.
A deal is only genuine below that floor
We call something a genuine deal only when its current price is at or below that tracked floor. The badge is earned by the data, not set by a marketer.
No fake RRPs, ever
We deliberately don't show an inflated "was" price next to a "now" price. If a discount isn't real against the price history, we won't dress it up as one.
